The Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco are called to share in the salvific mission of Christ the Good Shepherd, through the evangelization of young people.
We commit ourselves to be signs and bearers of God’s love, through the education of the whole person, according to the Preventive System passed down to us by St. John Bosco. Using reason, religion and loving kindness, we strive to form the young to be good Christians and honest citizens. The Preventive System offers the young the possibility of experiencing the liberating power of God’s grace and opens them to generous self-giving.
Our ministries include early childhood, elementary, and secondary education; technical vocational education; baccalaureate education; religious education; youth and young adult ministry; youth centers; adult faith formation and outreach programs for disadvantaged women and children.
Our religious family has its origin in the heart and mind of St. John Bosco and in the creative fidelity with which St. Mary Domenica Mazzarello and her Sisters assumed the project he intended, that of being called ‘Daughters of Mary Help of Christians’ (Salesian Sisters), a living monument of gratitude to his Madonna
